  2. such extraordinary lengths of time and such expanses of space ...incredible.

it feels so good to remember that each of us are part of this huge,
remarkable system -- part of something that has been working away without us for billions and billions of years (and that will likely continue when we're "gone").

so good to consider that we are also essential in it because we are here. as essential as oceans and trees and even skyscrapers and lust and war and greed.

this is it. this is what there is. things are just as they should be because they simply are. we are natural too. when did we start doubting ourselves?

the meaning of life is in here for me -- in seeing my existence as part of this whole dynamic system -- feeling small and connected to something powerful and infinite rather than big and in charge of something seemingly unmanageable. freedom from frustration through loss of illusory significance.

    thanks science.

thanks for this blogsite. thanks for making a place for us to remember where we are and who we're with and what we may be able to do together.

    in love and gratitude
